From time to time Livescribe releases updates to your smartpen
software.
Please install the
updates as soon as they are available. To update your smartpen software
manually:

In the Livescribe Starter Notebook or the WiFi sticker sheets, tap
the
Software Update paper button.
The smartpen screen indicates whether there is a new update
available. If there is one, the smartpen downloads and installs it.

After the update is installed, your smartpen will restart.
Alternatively, you can
update your smartpen software by launching Livescribe Helper and connecting
your smartpen to your computer. See
Updating Your Smartpen Software with the USB Cable.
Tip: The smartpen also has an automatic mechanism for
downloading the latest software updates.
