Archiving from the Smartpen Menu

You can archive a notebook using the Smartpen Menu.

1. Turn on your smartpen.
2. Be sure you are connected to the internet.
3. Double-tap the center of the Menu button. Then tap down to Settings and tap right to select.
4. Tap down to Archive notebook and tap right to select.
   Note: The Archive Notebook item is near the end of the list of settings: keep tapping!
5. Tap any page of the notebook you want to archive.
   Important: Archiving cannot be undone! The smartpen erases from its memory all notes and recordings that are linked to the notebook.
6. Confirm that you want to archive.

   Your smartpen will sync all notes and audio from the notebook to Evernote and then erase them from its memory.

7. In Evernote, your notebook and its recordings are moved to a new stack named Archived Notebooks.

   Your archived notes play back in Evernote just as they did before they were archived. Using your smartpen to tap the paper in your archived notebook will no longer start playback of the audio linked to those notes.

8. If you desire, you can start using a new notebook of the same type and number as the one you archived.
