You can archive a notebook from the Status Label attached to a
notebook.
When new, Livescribe
notebooks have a Status Label wrapped across the front edge, holding it shut.
You must break this label in order to use the new notebook. If the new notebook
has the same type and number as a notebook currently in use, the following
steps will archive the old notebook.
-
Turn on your smartpen.
-
Be sure you are connected to the internet.
-
Tap the Status Label on the front or back cover of your new
notebook.
If your smartpen screen shows
This notebook is currently in use…, double-tap
the center of the Status Label to archive the old notebook.
Important: Archiving cannot be undone! The smartpen
erases from its memory all notes and recordings that are linked to the old
notebook.
-
Double-tap the label again to confirm that you want to archive the
old notebook.
Your smartpen will sync all notes and audio from the notebook to
Evernote and then erase them from its memory.
-
In Evernote, your notebook and its recordings are moved to a new
stack named
Archived Notebooks.
Your archived notes play back in Evernote just as they did before
they were archived. Using your smartpen to tap the paper in your archived
notebook will no longer start playback of the audio linked to those notes
-
When the smartpen displays
Notebook Archived, you can break the seal made
by the Status Label and start using the new notebook.
