You can archive a notebook using the Livescribe Helper
application.

Connect your desktop computer and your smartpen, using the
Micro-USB cable. Then launch the Livescribe Helper App on your desktop
computer.

Click the
Archive button in Livescribe Helper.

Select the notebook you want to archive.
Important: Archiving cannot be undone! The smartpen
erases from its memory all notes and recordings that are linked to the
notebook.

Confirm that you want to archive.
Your smartpen will sync all notes and audio from the notebook to
Evernote and then erase them from its memory.

In Evernote, your notebook and its recordings are moved to a new
stack named
Archived Notebooks.
Your archived notes play back in Evernote just as they did before
they were archived. Using your smartpen to tap the paper in your archived
notebook will no longer start playback of the audio linked to those notes

If you desire, you can start using a new notebook of the same
type and number as the one you archived
