Livescribe Releases Desktop for Mac Version 1.0
OAKLAND, Calif.– March 3, 2009 – Livescribe Inc. (www.livescribe.com) announced today that its Livescribe Desktop for Mac software version 1.0 is available to download for free at www.livescribe.com/install. Since its public beta release in November last year, the Livescribe Desktop for Mac software has been downloaded by over 20,000 Pulse smartpen owners.
Livescribe is honored to have received Macworld's 2009 Best of Show Award and Mac|Life Magazine's Editors' Choice Award for its Livescribe Desktop for Mac software.
Beginning today, Livescribe customers can download Livescribe Desktop for Mac version 1.0, which includes the following features:
- Listen to and watch Paper Replay recordings
- Search for words within your handwritten notes
- Export AAC audio file to share with others, play in iTunes, or listen to on an iPod
- Save and share your notes as a PDF file
- Change the on-screen ink color of your handwriting
- Connect to Livescribe Online to browse and upload notes and recordings
- Share your notes and recordings as pencasts online via Facebook
- Archive your Livescribe dot paper products
- Drag and pan to reposition zoomed pages
- Remove Paper Replay recordings from your Pulse smartpen
- Delete Paper Replay recordings from Livescribe Desktop
- Rename your smartpen and notebooks
- View pages or print a range of pages
With Livescribe Desktop for Mac version 1.0, notes and audio recordings can be transferred from a Pulse smartpen to a Mac computer, where they can be digitally stored, searched, and shared. The Livescribe Desktop for Mac software is compatible with all Intel-based Mac computers with Mac OS X 10.5.5 or higher.
