Livescribe Pulse Smartpen Launches in Australia
Exclusive retail launch with Office Works chain is just in time for the holidays
OAKLAND, Calif. – Oct. 28, 2008 - As part of its planned international rollout, Livescribe officially announced the launch of the Pulse™ smartpen in Australia today. For the first time, the Pulse smartpen will be available to students and business professionals in the southern hemisphere.
The Pulse smartpen is currently on store shelves at all 120 stores in the Officeworks retail chain, as part of an exclusive retail relationship with Officeworks. Consumers in Australia can also purchase Livescribe™ products through their Web site at – www.officeworks.com.au/livescribe.
Livescribe’s exclusive distributor for the Asean-Oceania region, BIG’ant (M) Sdn Bhd, plans to launch into additional markets in the region during the 2009 period.
The Pulse smartpen is a computer within a pen that captures handwriting and simultaneously records audio and synchronizes it to what you write. Consumers simply tap on their notes to replay what was recorded from the exact moment they were writing, so they never miss a word they hear, write, or speak. Using pre-printed controls at the bottom of the Livescribe dot paper notebooks, note takers can fast forward, rewind, jump ahead, pause or even speed up or slow down the audio recordings to easily access information from business meetings or lectures.
Now students and business professionals alike in Australia will never miss a word again.
